ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure that assigned territory meets sales goals
Conduct on-site customer visits to provide technical information with regards to cell dissociation, homogenization, sample prep and related products and services
Sell products in various market segments via direct sales
Attend local vendor shows and company sponsored trade shows
Identify new opportunities through cold calling and penetrating new accounts
Develop relationships with new and existing customers
Develop sales strategies for assigned territory, which includes business plans, and market analysis
Have a positive attitude, be a team player, and strive to learn and contribute to company culture
Manage and maintain information in the customer's database system
Perform other job-related duties as requested by customers and/or management
Minimal overnight travel (sales meetings /attend national conferences)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Life Science or business-related field
5+ years of applied knowledge of the Account Base in geography
5+ years of Laboratory hands-on experience in Life Sciences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree preferred
Requires analytical thinking and presenting ideas
Experience in Microsoft Office and Salesforce or other CRM experience
Extremely skilled in the art of negotiation
Self-starter with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are critical
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment
Critical problem-solving and analytical skills
Computer proficiency and strong familiarity with Microsoft Office
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
Positive attitude with an ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
Customer-focused
Ability to travel, up to 50% (+) - within the state of California, and some travel to surrounding states such as Nevada
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting, standing, and bending
Lifting and/or moving of up to 30 lbs.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $95,500 - $143,500 plus commission. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
