Job Description

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has a position available for a limited-term, part time intern to work on environmental projects starting in June 2024 and ending in September 2024. The hours for this position could vary weekly from 20 to 25, and occasionally more. Responsibilities include environmental sampling and recordkeeping; entering of waterways for collection of water quality and flow data using various types of monitoring equipment; general maintenance of vehicles, work areas, and monitoring equipment; delivery of analytical samples to a laboratory. A valid driver's license and the ability to hike moderate to difficult terrain is required.

Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in environmental sciences, water technology, or related field.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • Environmental sampling experience
  • Technical documentation/ recordkeeping experience
  • Familiarity with OSHA/MSHA safety regulations
  • Microsoft Office software experience
