Staffmark is seeking a skilled Welder in San Diego, CA, who can modify existing metal, create new tooling, and develop jigs and fixtures for machining and welding efficiently. If this sounds like you, apply today and join our team!
Pay Rate: $22 per hour
Shift: First shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 1:30 pm
The Welder will operate specialized equipment to assemble tooling with high precision. Knowledge of various metals and their properties is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area
- Modify tooling by welding and milling
- Initiate and manage paperwork associated with received jobs
- Execute direct orders from the supervisor
- Perform other duties as necessary
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Certified welder in Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG)
- 3-5 years of experience as a production welder preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency in using and interpreting basic measuring devices
- Working knowledge of general workshop tools such as band saws, horizontal mills, drill presses, and hydraulic presses
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
