Job Summary

TYLin is seeking Multi-disciplinary Engineers for bridge projects based out of the San Francisco office. The positions will report to Alex Sanjines and James Duxbury, Principal Bridge Engineer and Northern California Sector Manager respectively, and will require 5 to 10 years of experience in bridge engineering and related activities.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

* Contribute to the overall project supervision and management including, but not limited to coordination with interdisciplinary members of the team; interpret and monitor project schedules; monitor cost-related matters pertaining to the project; and perform peer review of submittals to clients (communications, reports, drawings, invoices, and others).
* Participate in fieldwork as needed related to onshore, marine, social, and environmental surveys.
* The multidisciplinary project engineer must possess excellent communications skills to develop documents such as: technical reports; site activity reports; meeting minutes; and progress reports. Support on project specifications and contracting language will be required.
*Coordinate with the project management team and support project execution by assisting in the activities described above, including design checks, quality checks, and completeness of submittals.
*Review reinforcement schedule, design code compliance, quality controls, etc.
* Perform other related activities as identified by the Project Manager or his deputy.

Qualifications

* Master's degree in civil engineering is required.

* Professional Engineer License is ideal but not required.

* At least 5 - 10 years of experience working on bridge structures.

* Requires good knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards, and codes.

* Strong technical and management skills.

* Ability to create and modify design and construction drawings required.

* Ability to communicate clearly (written and oral)

* Field experience is desired.

* Knowledge of meeting design schedules and budgets.

* Must possess communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective project team collaboration and relationship building.

* Excellent organizational skills.


Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$87,00 - $131,600 annually for this position and local market.
