Trip Intake - Hospital Fax Team Representative

The Hospital Fax Team representative works within the Trip Intake Team to obtain patient demographics and insurance information.

Essential Functions/Duties

• Obtain patient demographic and insurance information by faxing hospital partners and checking portals.

• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and written.

• Process incoming factsheets.

• Work to achieve team and departmental goals.

• Accurately assign account to next department

• Ensure all accounts are worked appropriately to allow distribution to the floor in a timely manner.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year in a call center environment

• Minimum of six (6) months of hospital or clinic admissions experience or equivalent education

• 6 months data entry experience

• Experience with downloading documents from websites and accessing documents downloaded

• Proficient in Word, Excel, Office 365

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills:

• Ability to define and identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Ability to respond to inquiries in a positive and productive manner

• Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and document accurately

• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports

• Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
