What You'll Do:

As the Information Assurance Analyst, you will provide support a major acquisition DoD program office. This position supports NAVAIR Program Management of end-to-end weapon systems lifecycle and includes requirements for IT, cyber security, network management/deployment, video tele-conferencing (VTC) equipment, database management and office support for several locations with the preponderance of work being in Lexington Park, MD. As the Information Assurance Analyst, your primary duties will include:

  • Responsible for the management of several classified networks.
  • Accessing processing/management, deployment of systems (when necessary), cyber security compliance, IT equipment inventory, set-up, life cycle management - including system disposal processing.
  • Responsible for multiple AV systems which network to various locations at MLS processing.
  • Applies principles, policies, and procedures necessary to ensure the protection of data.
  • Serves as an Information System Security Officer responsible for the protection and integrity of all forms of media and liaison with Cyber Security Directorate (CSD) Security Controls Assessors by incorporating DoD cyber security directives (JSIG) Risk Management Framework (RMF)), DoDM 5205.07 series, ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements, etc.).




Requirements

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience and computer systems/software certifications may substitute for a professional degree.
  • 5 years experience in working with computer systems security requirements and knowledge of DoD 5205.07 volumes 1-4 and the NISPOMSUPOVP.
  • General knowledge of encryption devices, how they tie into a WAN and certified with encryption devices (KG 235s, KG 175s, etc.).
  • DoD Directive 8570.1 certification(s) IAM Level 1 or higher and Security+ certified.
  • General knowledge of encryption devices, how they tie into a WAN and certified with encryption devices (KG 235s, KG 175s, etc.).
  • Experience holding Privileged User Account for Classified Networks (System Administrator, ISSO, SCA, etc.).
  • Experience acting as Data Transfer Agent.
  • Ability to travel to CONUS locations (10% travel is possible).
  • Ability to operate as an independent ISSO.
  • You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • You have professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision.
  • You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Your organizational skills are impressive, allowing you to effectively manage competing priorities.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
