Reporting to the Technical Production Manager, the Audio-Visual Technician, as part of a support team, will support the event production and audio-visual needs of the school, both Conservatory and Preparatory. Working as part of a team, this role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of performances for both the Conservatory and the Preparatory to produce over 1000 events, including master classes, rehearsals, performances (music, dance, and opera), and student recitals. As a member of the team, the Audio-Visual Technician will assist in all aspects of the schools' production activities, but primary duties will be related to sound reinforcement, live audio mixing, and live video production.
The Audio-Visual Technician acts as a liaison among the various individuals involved in a production, including the conductor, artistic directors, guest artists, musicians, dancers, and the concert and ensembles staff to ensure an excellent and safe production. The successful candidate will be motivated, proactive, and an organized team player, while providing excellent support with strong collaboration skills. Attention to detail and a positive work-ethic are a must. Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed to appropriately staff events.
