Washington College in Chestertown, MD is seeking qualified applicants for the The Director of Enterprise Applications and Solutions Architecture position. Enterprise Applications is a department of the Office of Technology (OIT) which provides the technology, skills, and services that contribute to and support the mission of the College. The Director of Enterprise Applications and Solutions Architecture will be responsible for day-to-day operations of Enterprise Applications (EA) as well as EA and systems architecture across the college. This includes ensuring that the necessary guidance, processes and resources are in place to drive successful business outcomes. This is a position designed to directly support the Executive Director of Enterprise Applications as well as to collaborate with the project sponsors, developers, and the PMO team, comprising of business analysts and project managers leading the college through a 5-year strategic EA plan as set forth by the CIO in collaboration with the OIT leadership team. This is a hands-on technical role, that includes supervision and is responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of websites, databases, and various enterprise applications, and is a foundational member of the Office of Information Technologies leadership team.
Within a mentoring environment, this person will provide support services, project management, and reporting for existing and new college and system-wide Enterprise Applications including student, HR, finance, admission, financial aid, recruitment, CRM, and resource scheduling and related systems. We are looking for an individual with a strong technical understanding of the latest technologies and development methodologies available as well as how to integrate those technologies into new and existing higher education technology environments.

Master's degree. Demonstrated knowledge of student information systems. Experience working in a higher education environment. Experience negotiating contracts for and operating in SAAS, IAAS, PAAS and other cloud environments. Experience and knowledge of SAP ERP environments. Knowledge and experience working with Ellucian products and services. Knowledge of Microsoft development, email, web, and collaboration platforms; Office 365, and the traditional Office suite. Database architecture experience including both transactional and data warehousing design and support. Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT and NIST. Professional certifications, such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or vendor certifications.
