The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.
HJF is seeking a Procedural Skills Course Coordinator II who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of all procedural skills courses associated with the Department of Surgery and clinical readiness program at the Uniformed Services University (USU) in Bethesda, Maryland. These include about 10-12 courses per year located at USU main campus in Bethesda and an equal number of courses at other domestic and international facilities. Responsibilities also include the planning and scheduling of course facilities, resources, and personnel; the preparation, maintenance, inventory and operation of course related equipment/supplies; the functional operation of course related assessments; and the collaboration with other team members to facilitate and implement course activities. For each course, the incumbent ensures adherence to program, site, and certification policies, course objectives, safety guidelines, reporting requirements, and established best practices for training and assessment.
Note: This work site requires that Non-US Citizen incumbents have lived in the US three out of the past five years.
This is a Hybrid position with required in person engagement for the courses described above.

The position supports surgical simulation training and assessment that may include being in the presence of donor bodies (cadavers). The successful candidate will be willing to work in these contexts, as needed.
