HJF is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to work under Dr. Sharon L Juliano, in support of Military Traumatic Brain Injury Initiative (MTBI2). This incumbent will be responsible for initiating and carrying out research projects in collaboration with a research team and work on potential assessments and treatments for traumatic brain injury in a gyrencephalic animal model. There are a number of experimental scenarios available including work with Positron Emission Tomography, MRI, microscopic imaging, and human post mortem tissue. The work can involve neuropathology/histology, multiple types of imaging, biochemical and behavioral analysis. We are interested in understanding inflammation and mechanisms of treating TBI.
MTBI2 is a federal military traumatic brain injury (TBI) research program organized as a partnership between the Uniformed Services University and the National Institutes of Health. MTBI2 supports a wide range of research from pre-clinical models to investigational projects and clinical trials research on TBI and its comorbidities. HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to MTBI2.
