Job Summary
B&A is seeking a talented Application Express (APEX) Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). This role requires expertise in APEX development, strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, and CompTIA Security+ certification.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom web applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new applications and enhancements.
  • Develop database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers to support APEX applications.
  • Customize APEX themes, templates, and plugins to create user-friendly interfaces.
  • Integrate APEX applications with other systems and platforms as needed.
  • Implement security measures to protect APEX applications from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
  • Optimize APEX applications for performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
  • Stay updated on APEX development best practices and industry trends.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in Oracle Application Express (APEX) development.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills.
  • Experience with Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Oracle RESTful Services and Web Services.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and AngularJS.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., LDAP, OAuth).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Security Clearance
  • Must be able to pass a NACL background investigation
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required
