  • Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts
  • Assess and manage pain and non-pain related syndromes including psychosocial distress.
  • Develop individualized care plans for patients including the integration of emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Assist with complex decision-making regarding therapies and treatment options that align with goals of care.
  • Develop patient/family support systems and resources.

UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, a member ofUniversity of Maryland Medical System(UMMS), is seeking a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Easton, MD.

UM Shore Regional Palliative Care Program is comprised of an interdisciplinary team that provides comprehensive services in both inpatient and outpatient support patients with chronic and serious health conditions.

With the goal of improving the quality of life for patients and families, palliative care provides education, psychosocial support, and symptom management at any stage of serious illness. Our providers work collaboratively with the health care team to provide high quality palliative care services to patients and families facing serious illness who are still pursuing active treatment and/or in end stages of illness.

Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
  • Experience preferred, not required.
  • DEA and CDS eligible.
  • Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
  • Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.
