Job Description

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to acquire a Secret clearance within 90 days of award
  • Advanced problem solving / decision making skills
  • Advanced technical knowledge with the ability to solve complex problems outside the instructions given from manufacturer manuals
  • Ability to use complex test instruments
  • Ability to build, repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery
  • Ability to receive technical guidance
  • Ability to give technical guidance to lower level Techs
  • Ability to follow detailed work procedures

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturer manuals or similar documents; examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering; changes
  • Utilizes an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercises independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculates wave forms, and traces relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment
  • Provides technical guidance to lower level technicians.
  • Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices
  • 0-100% CONUS/OCONUS travel required
