Human Resources Generalist serves as a business partner with Corporate functional teams at various levels to provide HR guidance on a broad range of HR programs and initiatives supporting business objectives. In partnership with the HR Director for the Corporate Division, you will implement solutions to innovate and address opportunities and/or improvements in the following areas: recruiting, talent management, organizational development, and training, succession planning, employee engagement, compensation, and HR compliance matters.

What You'll Do:

  • As a culture steward, champions and embodies Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, and proactively seeks opportunities to bring this awareness to business partners through formal/informal coaching and training.
  • Partners with recruiting team to ensure talent acquisition needs are well defined, and participates in the selection process to help identify the right candidates. Provides guidance to leaders to help ensure new hires are onboarded effectively.
  • Responsible for addressing, investigating, coaching, recommending, and implementing solutions on employee relations matters. Through investigations, identify trends that may require training for the functional business partners to help mitigate future occurrences (ex. Conflict management, performance management, etc.).
  • Proactively works with Corporate functional teams to understand and provide guidance on headcount requirements and organizational structure.
  • Partners with the Compensation team to perform job and employee pay analyses, where needed. Assist with annual salaried planning program to ensure employees are rewarded for performance and contributions.
  • Assists in the execution of the Corporate, Divisions and companywide training programs. Monitor training activities through the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Supports change management efforts to foster the adoption of HR or business changes.
  • Identifies new technologies and "best practices" to enable the Corporate Division to reduce costs and improve productivity through better utilization of human assets and resources.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or equivalent work experience is required. Professional HR certifications in recognized HR tools or development programs is preferred (PHR, MBTI, DDI, etc.).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources generalist experience with emphasis in training, recruiting, employee relations, and performance and talent management.
  • General knowledge of EEO, FLSA, OFCCP laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with HR systems (PeopleSoft, Taleo, etc.).
  • Knowledge and application of current and upcoming HR trends, best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and GSuite (Google Mail, Docs, etc.)
  • Curiosity. Innovative mind; seeks process improvement and problem solving.
  • Ability to build rapport and adapt to different environments, personalities and work styles, and to learn multiple facets of the business.
  • Business intelligence (knows how to connects talent to business needs; effective human capital advisor and seeks to link external market factors to internal people strategy).
  • Courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professionalism and poise
  • Data literate (can story tell with data and utilizes the right data to drive decisions).
  • Proficient in critical thought process, problem-solving, planning and decision-making.
  • Proficient skills in coaching and counseling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Learning agile and adaptable to change.
