Counterintelligence Specialist - Senior

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph to be considered.

Cherokee Preting is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Counterintelligence Specialists at the Senior level to support the Intelligences Services for CYBERCOM Contract. The Counterintelligence Specialist identifies, monitors, and assesses foreign intelligence efforts attempting collection of sensitive national security information on U.S. persons, activities, and interests, including threats posed by emerging technologies to U.S. operations and interests.

Counterintelligence Specialist - Senior Responsibilities Include:

  • Apply understanding of foreign intelligence capabilities and U.S. and foreign partner CI capabilities for in-depth analytic research and production of all-source CI studies.
  • Conduct programs of instruction in specified collection operations TTPs and related processes.
  • Coordinate and deconflict CI operational activity conducted by Military Department CI Organizations (MDCO).
  • Interact with representatives of MDCOs and Intelligence Community Components to deconflict CI activity.
  • Maintain and update multiple databases, including proficiency in MS Excel and Access.
  • Provide updates on relevant CI activity to J2X leadership.
  • Serve as a J2X representative to the CYBERCOM Joint Operations Center (JOC) and maintain familiarity with MDCO capabilities.
  • Develop concepts for Command counterintelligence programs and deliver counterintelligence briefs to personnel interacting with foreign intelligence services/officers.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Counterintelligence Specialist - Senior Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; must be willing and able to obtain CI Polygraph.
  • At least 8 years of relevant analysis experience within the last 2 years.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the functions and activities of the CI Specialist
  • position.
  • Understanding of Counterintelligence operations.
  • Understanding of CI, the MDCOS, and basic CI mission areas.
  • Experience conducting counterintelligence functions including investigations, inquiries,
  • and collection.
  • Graduate of in- residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or Military
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the functions and activities of the CI Specialist position.
  • Experience conducting counterintelligence functions, including investigations, inquiries, and collection.
  • Graduate of in-residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or military service equivalent.
  • Ability to use logic when evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
