PURPOSE
A part time role to assist the Costing department with daily tasks as assigned (duties include, but not limited to: account density studies, data entry, etc.) and W&I Adjustments
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
* Assists with creating/coordinating account picture list and picture collection from operating terminals.
* Enters picture data into Excel spreadsheets and determines if enough data is collected to reach a conclusion about account's freight density.
* Reviews pictures and makes first assessment of space occupied by freight.
* Passes findings to Costing Analyst(s) and/or Costing Supervisor for further review and final determination.
* Sends daily/weekly emails to Pitt Ohio operating terminals to gather clarifying information about accounts (such as stackability of customer's freight) and tracks responses in an Excel spreadsheet.
* Validates packaging and piece count on bills as a weekly audit for accounts.
* Runs various canned reports in support of Costing Analyst requests.
* Supports Costing Department with other tasks as assigned.
* Ability to react to change productively.
WORKING CONDITIONS
* Sedentary work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of forces frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are only required occasionally.
* Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer terminal, and extensive reading.
* Typical exposure to interior environmental conditions like air conditioning and dust; no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
* Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
* Talking and hearing required to communication with and listen to others to share or receive information. May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others.
