Are you looking for something new and exciting where you can practice at the highest scope of your nursing license? We are a designated NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center within a renowned academic Magnet recognized hospital. At this time, we are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse for a telephone triage position.

The Telephone Triage Registered Nurse (RN) is integral to our patient's health and well-being. This position serves as a vital link in the patient's continuum of care. Additionally, the telephone triage nurse position is designed to support multiple areas of our center: provider clinic practice, ambulatory infusion, and our oncology urgent care clinics. We offer triage algorithms, tools, and a robust orientation to support this position.

Role expectations include, but are not exclusive to:

  • Liaison between provider and patient/family.
  • Recognition of oncologic emergencies.
  • Answering health care questions related to the oncology patient population.
  • Provide symptom management advice within the nurse's scope of practice or as instructed by the provider.
  • Facilitating prescription renewal, lab orders, and lab review.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BSN/MSN required. Must be from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license
  • BLS CPR certification
  • Acute care RN experience in Oncology required
