Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Specialist- DML-ES

The Equipment Maintenance Business Analyst will help develop solutions to implement and sustain DML-ES as an Integrated Enterprise Medical Materiel Solution. The solution requires support for expanding DML-ES as a comprehensive supply chain management, medical/surgical supplies and pharmaceuticals, inventory management, procurement support, equipment accountability, biomedical engineering, facilities management system, and the integration of interfaces to ordering and business intelligence applications and electronic health record implementation.

The primary role of the Equipment Maintenance Business Analyst is to bridge the gap between medical maintenance and stakeholders/product owners on Equipment Maintenance and technology teams, ensuring that the software and systems developed align with business requirements. Position is onsite 3 days/week at Ft. Detrick in Frederick, MD.  US citizenship and ability to obtain federal clearance required.

 
Responsibilities:
  • The Equipment Maintenance Business Analyst will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze medical maintenance related business requirements, processes, and workflows. They will translate these requirements into functional specifications for DMLSS and LogiCole technology teams and work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful project delivery. The Business Analyst will also be involved in identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness using the SAFe Agile methodology.
  • Clearly communicate business needs to a development team through user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the product development team during the development cycle to ensure the customer needs are being met.
  • Lead demonstrations to stakeholders and report on the results of each software iteration.
  • Oversee inventory management, procurement support, equipment accountability, facilities management system, and the integration of interfaces to ordering.
 Required:
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and minimum 4 years of related work experience.
  • exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and solve complex problems.
  • 4 years minimum experience with Equipment Management (Asset Management) and/or Equipment Maintenance (Asset Maintenance) Modules in DMLSS/LogiCole.
  • Experience with data conversions.
  • Extensive DMLSS Experience preferred.
