Job Description

MWH Constructors, an industry leader in the heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities, is currently seeking a Scheduling Manager to support the construction of a Water Treatment Plant located in Portland, OR. This project will be the first of its kind in Portland, scheduled to break ground in Summer of 2024 and ultimately supplying 135 million gallons of water a day to the Portland community by Fall of 2027. This position is a great opportunity to be a part of a historic infrastructure and filtration project and see it through the entire project delivery life cycle, from groundbreaking to closeout.

The Scheduling Manager will be responsible for coordinating schedules, managing deadlines, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring the smooth operation of project scheduling processes. Experience with CMiC and managing scheduling teams is required for this role.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain project schedules for large water/wastewater projects.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to align with project requirements and deadlines.
  • Allocate resources effectively to optimize project productivity.
  • Communicate schedule changes and updates to all project stakeholders.
  • Analyze scheduling data to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with project scheduling policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to scheduling coordinators and team members.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project scheduling, particularly in large water/wastewater projects.
  • Experience with CMiC software.
  • Previous experience managing scheduling teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in project management.
