Responsibilities
    Understand system's technical architecture, and able to identify the performance implications for different layers of system based on design discussions or architecture documents.
  • Analyze performance requirements, translate them into detailed performance test plans, create test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • Establishing standard SLAs/ Baselines and performance test to ensure the applications and systems meet the defined SLAs/ Baselines.
  • Conduct performance tests to improve performance, capacity, and scalability in the application, system, and database layers.
  • Identify application and system performance issues and facilitate root cause analysis to minimize impact and future occurrence.
  • Analyze test results and prepare summary reports to be shared with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Coordinates with the respective teams for performance issues identified by performance tests.
  • Creates and maintains test framework, scripts, and test scenarios for Load, Stress and Endurance / soak tests.
  • Monitor the system performance and issues using APM tools. Analyze and help find the root cause of any issues observed.
  • Maintain credibility in communication and takes actions on assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Performance Engineering including but not limited to test planning, scripting, script maintenance, test data creation, test execution, monitoring, and results analysis.
  • Experience of performance testing large scale applications and systems built on different technology platforms: Web Services, Web (HTTP/HTTPS), Sockets, Cloud based, UNIX, batch processes, etc.
  • Hands on experience with performance testing techniques such as performance workload modeling, establishing baselines, services monitoring, and profiling system performance.
  • Experience in testing API (RESTful, SOAP), different protocols, batch jobs and processes.
  • Extensive understanding of web application, browser concepts, and batch processes in Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Performance testing and working experience with databases such asOracle,Microsoft SQL, and MongoDB.
  • Strong skills of creating and executing DB query for testing and validation.
  • Experience in creating, configuring, and executing scripts using performance test tools such as JMeter, Tsung, Locust, and Load runner.
  • Experience with APM tools across a wide variety of technologies.
  • Experience handling test data in various formats (JSON, XML, CSV, etc.).
  • Unix/Linux experience (3+ years)
  • Familiarity with issue tracking and SDLC tools such as JIRA and working in Agile/Scrum models.
  • Have knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, Python.
  • Experience with reporting and analysis tools like Cognos, Tableau. Experience as a Data Analyst is a plus.
  • Experience analyzing healthcare or insurance data (3+ years)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

Location:

  • Remote

Clearance:

  • The ability to obtain a government moderate background security clearance or Public Trust

Salary Information:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $72,750 to $139,000.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
