Job Description

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Secret Clearance (Must be eligible for Top Secret clearance)
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline
  • Ten (10) years of supervisory experience with at least eight (8) of those years of experience must be with SOF C5ISR systems as a systems engineer.
  • Genuine desire to solve unique, system-level problems
  • Demonstrated creative, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to solve difficult technical problems with minimal oversight, established directions, or guidance
  • Collaborative teamwork skills interacting across multiple disciplines including other systems engineers, software developers, integration teams, quality assurance, production personnel, and program managers
  • Have developed communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely, employing technical writing techniques

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Master's Degree in an engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with Research and Development (R&D) Pipelines (identification, evaluation, integration, testing)
  • Experience researching, identifying, and transitioning innovative technologies
  • Familiarity with System Requirements and Key Performance Points Analysis
  • Experience providing transition support for innovative systems and technology
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Analysis

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researches designs, develops, tests, or supervises the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial industrial, military, or scientific use
  • Researches and implements integrations between various new/existing systems to provide new functionality
  • Troubleshoots existing systems and identification of system shortfalls
  • Researches, identifies, and recommends new innovative systems and technology as well as improvements for existing system functionality
  • Supports development of new system documentation to support system transition
  • Develops innovative ways of integrating novel technology into existing PORs
  • Provides of transition support for newly developed systems
