Job Description

We are seeking a casual Laboratory Assistant to assist in laboratory duties and techniques. The goal is to conduct and learn pharmacological efficacy studies of novel nSMase2 inhibitors with techniques including animal behavioral assessments, ELISA, immunostaining, and immunoblotting.


SpecificDuties & Responsibilities

  • Candidate will perform experiments to understand animal behavioral assessments of the novel nSMase2 inhibitors.
  • Under the supervision of Meixiang Huang, the candidate will be conducting conventional behavior experiments like open-field, NORT.
  • Candidate will also learn and conduct immunostaining and immunoblotting techniques.
  • Will be expected to conduct quantitative immunoassay like ELISA.
  • At the end of term, required to prepare reports for the work he/she conducts.
  • Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • College Student - Undergrad or Graduate.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have some lab experience and a strong scientific background with an emphasis in the field of biology.
