Job Description:
HOC has four (4) residential host sites for Montgomery County's Senior Nutrition Program. The Nutrition Program Aide is a part-time temp position, working a minimum of 15 hrs a week, Monday through Friday from 10am-1:30pm, that oversees the senior's lunch program. Please note, that this position requires that the applicant is available for a mandatory meeting once a quarter with Montgomery County Senior Nutrition Program Staff and Caterer and mandatory meetings with HOC Supervisor three times a year outside of program operating hours. This position requires candidates to complete mandatory HOC staff training throughout the course of the year.
The goal of this program is to provide nutritious meals in a sociable environment at locations where other activities and information about other services for seniors are available. The "Nutrition Site Manager/Aide" or "Lunch Manager" serves as general manager for the meal program at each site, working with employees at the site and coordinating the activities of volunteers at mealtime while following program policies and procedures. The Nutrition Site Manager/Aide may work with a server from the caterer or Site Managers who are certified Food Service Managers may serve meals delivered in bulk by the caterer.
