MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Completion of an approved Phlebotomy Training Program.

EXPERIENCE:
1. Five (5) years' experience in a hospital setting preferred.
2. Experience as a Supervisor preferred.

1. Makes sure all phlebotomy positions are covered. Discuss staffing difficulties with Lab Director.
2. Trains or supervises the training of all phlebotomists. Makes sure all check off sheets are completed, and all yearly requirements are performed.
3. Make recommendations on staffing needs.
4. Collaborates with Lab Director the annual evaluations for phlebotomists.
5. Takes call offs, finds coverage for shifts when call offs occur, reports these to Lab Director.
6. Directly supervises all phlebotomists.
7. Monitor and supervise the drawing, ordering and processing of care homes.
8. Sits in on interviews with Lab Director and makes recommendations to fill personnel vacancies.
9. Monitors turnaround of phlebotomists.
10. Ensures phlebotomy service personnel maintain a positive client/patient-focused attitude.
11. Maintains availability for non-working hours, when not on vacation.
12. Works closely with Laboratory scientists and fulfills their needs when possible.
13. Scheduled to work as a phlebotomist on a rotational basis in all phlebotomy areas several days a week.
14. Assumes additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by Laboratory Director.
15. Coordinates health fairs, employees' screens and low-cost blood screens offered by the hospital or the lab.

Additional Job Description:
Successful candidate will be an effective communicator, organized and able to lead group of phlebotomists to complete quality blood draws in a timely manner.
This position will work 12 hours shift 7 on/7 off from 5pm to 530am.
