Responsibilities:

* Utilize customer network discovery tools to proactively collect key cyber data at scale and understand the topology of the customer networks

* Manage and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the customer's network discovery tool to include user and vendor engagement (such as fielding user questions or identifying desired features)

* Perform troubleshooting into possible bugs and issues, then validate vendor fixes

* Configure, optimize, and maintain the tool's deployment to expand its visibility

* Plan and execute on ideas to improve the coverage and quality of the deployment to enable successful cyber risk engagement in a large customer environment

* Design, configure and maintain network infrastructure(s)

* Design, defend, implement secure network designs including routing/switching, firewall, security appliance, VPN, proxy, and cloud infrastructures

* Plan network configurations for integration into the network, using knowledge of the performance characteristics of the systems being added to the network and the specifications for network interfaces to insure effective integration and optimal network performance

* Perform network vulnerability analysis utilizing modeling tools and network forensic analysis utilizing flow and connection analysis tools

* Prepare technical proposals for presentation to the Sponsor's engineering review boards for approval prior to the addition of new technologies to the network

* Perform operational and maintenance activities

* Utilize network analysis tools to identify performance problems in the network

* Troubleshoot to restore network to optimal performance levels

* Assist and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

* Perform network upgrades

* Review user requests for upgrades/additions to the network to assess impact on network performance and provide advice/guidance on the most practical/cost-benefit technical approach for Sponsor consideration

Required:

o Active TS/SCI FSP

o Strong understanding of network protocols, network topology, and modeling tools

o Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure Technology

o Research and analytical skills

o Excellent problem-solving skills

o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

o Strong presentation skills to brief others on your findings and recommendations

o Ability to work singerly or collaborate with others who are conducting research in the same, similar or different areas

o Application-level security controls (e.g. web application firewalls)

o Experience building automation between tools and systems

o Prior experience with penetration testing and methodologies

o Knowledge of network discover tools like NMAP and ability to analyze result

o Bachelor's Degree

o At least 8 years of hands-on experience
