Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking to hire a Full Time MRI Technologist to work 2nd shift

Required: 2 to 4 years of MRI experience using a Siemens scanner with ability to use EPIC and PACS. Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of a 24-month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience. Must have ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT at time of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions). Performs MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.

Job Summary

Performs MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient, and completes departmental documentation.

1 year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred. Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24 month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience. Six months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred. Must obtain ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT within 2 years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions). CNMT or ARDMS or ARRT or ARMRIT is required.

Qualifications:

TS - Trade School Graduate

ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) - Certifications - Other/National, Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Certifications - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - Certifications - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
