NovaCare in Chevy Chase MD is seeking a full time licensed physical therapist (PT) to join our outpatient orthopedic team as a center manager or assistant center manager. You must be a licensed physical therapist with previous experience treating in an OP ortho setting. We can train for the management responsibilities with our leadership development program, but you must be a licensed PT. You will be a treating leader with a gradual increase of responsibilities at a mutually agreed upon pace.

At least 2-3 years of experience as a PT is required to be considered. We have options for a staff PT (new grad OK). This specific position is for leadership as a treating physical therapist. We treat a diverse population of teens through geriatrics offering general ortho, sports medicine, ACL and ReVital (oncology) rehabilitative services.

Our expectation is ten (10) patients per day with 60 minute evals 1:1 and 45 minute treatments. We are open from 7am until 7pm Monday through Thursday with a shorter day on Friday. We will require some evenings, until 7pm, for this full time leadership position, able to flex around you. Last patient is scheduled an hour prior.

We are unable to consider physical therapist assistants (PTAs) as a treating center manager physical therapist.

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility of the center and uphold executive decisions
  • Maintain and demonstrate an attitude of excellence and quality both in patient care and leadership duties
  • Utilize our local community network to effectively partner with physicians, employers, payors and case managers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional late or early shifts to accommodate patients
