Full Time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)

Split Hours Between Germantown and Gaithersburg Maryland

NovaCare's outpatient orthopedic centers in Germantown and Gaithersburg Maryland are seeking a FULL time licensed physical therapist assistant to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. We treat a diverse population of teens through geriatrics offering general ortho, neuro and oncology rehabilitative services. We have additional clinicians and front desk support available at both locations. This would be a full time 40 hour work week with two nights treating until 7pm. Last patient is scheduled an hour prior. We have twelve patients per day expectations.

This would be a full time split of 20 hours at each location for a total 40 hour work week, no weekends. New graduates of accredited physical therapist assistant programs are WELCOME to apply. We have an outlined and dedicated mentorship to help you start your career off on the right foot!

Schedule: 40 hour work week (Mon-Fri) treating twice a week until 7pm between our Germantown and Gaithersburg teams

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
• Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

• Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
• State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
