Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Hybrid work/in-office.

**On-site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Lexington Park, MD. Telework is authorized, however on-site support will be required 2 days per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:
The project scheduler is a critical tool in setting customer expectations and establishing revenue plan. The role of the Scheduler will be to serve as a primary scheduler for complex projects and as coach, consultant, and auditor for other project managers to ensure scheduling best practices are adhered to in support of the SAIW's strategic objectives to include:

  • Work within the project team to create the work breakdown structure, plan resource needs and develop the schedule around the project requirements.
  • Identify and record the progress of work to baseline milestones, recommend corrective actions to identified constraints.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers to ensure scheduling best practices are used in managing projects. Identify potential gaps or obstacles that may compromise the success of projects, trouble shooting, scenario scheduling and presenting appropriate strategies to overcome barriers. Review project schedules for adherence to project requirements and scheduling best practices.
  • Collaborate with functional managers, subcontractors and other project personnel to ensure resources are available when required. Provide contingency plans to the government project lead (GPL) when necessary.
  • Conduct audits on projects to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
  • Evaluate current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
  • Participate in project reviews and status meetings and generate reports for internal and external use in tracking projects' progress.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:


Required:

  • Computer Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience working with Primavera or Microsoft Project, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience must include demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, and develop schedules for varied projects and programs, in a customer implementation setting.
  • Expert in Scheduling Best Practices.
  • Thorough understanding and tracking of project performance metrics (% of completion, EVM, etc).
  • Experience in monitoring progress of project work and tracking progress in scheduling software.
  • High communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent listening skills and have strong communication skills.



Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.


Education:
HS diploma required.
