Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Senior Software Developer at MSG. Here, you'll tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients.
Manhattan StrategyGroup(MSG)in Bethesda, MDis seeking a Senior Ruby/Rails Software Developer to maintain and enhance an existing Ruby website for Health and Human Services.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Direct communication with client representatives
  • Create solid, well-tested code.
  • Make business and technical decisions.
  • Proficient in the application of web standards and best practices
  • Self-motivated and interested in maintaining ownership of key projects.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proactive attitude with an ability to creatively solve problems quickly.
  • Confident, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines working under pressure.
Nice to haves
  • Knowledge of Docker Compose, Kubernetes
  • Experience with React.js
  • Experience in external services integrations like Smart Card (PIV).
  • Experience with Rails 7.1 upgrade.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ year experience is preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Federal Agency or State Agency Experience
  • Advanced and in-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
  • TDD knowledge and familiarity at an advanced level
  • Required skills include Ruby, Rails (6 and above), Rubygems, RubyMine, Rspec, React Native, Bundler, PostgreSQL, React, CSS, CI/CD, Git, and Linux.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, Redis, and headless implementations.
  • Working knowledge of AWS Cloud and Docker.
  • Working knowledge with Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Docker and AWS EKS
