Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking Cryptologic Computer Scientist (CoCS) to support an Intel Community (IC) mission in Ft. Meade/Annapolis Junction, MD area. A CoCS will design, develop, deliver, and operate solutions to hard cryptologic computer science problems within a scientific framework. The solutions may arise in the forms of forensics and attack attribution, protection of critical networks, active systems warnings and indicators, active penetration into target systems, knowledge discovery of passive and active systems, or other computer science mission support. Requisite computer science skills (operating systems, compiler theory, database theory, algorithm analysis, computer architecture, discrete math, programming language theory, and data structures) are applied to each problem to provide state-of-the-art techniques, tools, and approaches.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

    An Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience must be in computer science and/or systems research; simulation/model development and prototyping; SW design; programming; computational science; algorithm analysis and design; reverse engineering; and/or designing/developing computer or information systems, including HW and/or SW.
  • Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
