Overview:

As the Senior Manager, Finance at ViaCord, a Revvity company, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial success of our organization. At ViaCord, we provide the highest-quality stem cell preservation service and care to our patients, families, and their physicians. The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing a broad spectrum of financial functions in a generalist or multi-specialty capacity, you will be entrusted with critical tasks encompassing accounting, tax management, financial reporting, budgeting, insurance, and credit management. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping and achieving our financial objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This opportunity is hybrid, expected to work at our headquarters in Waltham, MA (Tuesday - Thursday).

You will collaborate closely with finance executives and senior management, providing insightful guidance to inform strategic decisions and optimize financial performance. This role also entails managing a dedicated team based in Poland, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independent strategic leadership for Viacord business in the Finance function, including key stakeholder relationship management with the operating leaders.
  • Management of a collections and a billing supervisor who oversees the day-to-day operations.Providing direction, strategy, and goal setting to direct the department to achieve the collective financial goals of the team.
  • Manage, create, and track KPI's and distribute to the business leaders.
  • Ensures appropriate operational financial oversight over Viacord quarterly process including business reviews and financial operating rhythms (monthly and quarterly closes) and other finance-related processes (i.e. MOR).
  • Work cross-functionally with Viacord's department leaders on projects, new product offerings, and customer initiatives such as pricing, payment plans, methods of payment, and discounts.
  • Leads the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Creates a leadership presence across the broader finance team and supports ongoing projects to enhance the entire organization.
  • Provides financial modeling to properly evaluate strategic business decisions and independently delivers ad-hoc analysis to improve business performance.
  • Execution of the fiscal month-end close process which consists of reconciling orders, bad debt calculation, revenue carve-outs, and reporting on business performance for the period.
  • Ensuring all activities within the team and organization meet our SOX compliance and providing support and data for all internal and external audits.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors, ex: credit card gateway and processor, collection agency, Soundbite.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance AND
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate finance AND
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinker. Strong bias for action while considering potential outcomes from multiple angles. Always driving towards simplification and transparency.
  • Robust analytical & financial modeling skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational and market drivers. Detail focused.
  • Strong ability to translate technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications; produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to recruit, engage, and mentor a team, while fostering a productive and inclusive work environment.
  • Team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
  • Comfortable working with senior management. Builds constructive, effective relationships, and is able to influence peers and executive management.
  • Experience with Direct Consumer Business Model desirable.
