Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in Splunk who will design and develop software solutions by analyzing stakeholder requirements and conferring with users and other system engineers.

Responsiblities may also include:

    Design and implement software solutions to complex problems
  • Develop software system installation or build procedures or scripts
  • Analyze and resolve system performance issues (e.g. response time or timing problems, interface/integration problems, system bottlenecks, data flow issues).
  • Build a new Splunk instance to replace an existing system's capabilities and make improvements / modernize it including:
    • analyze requirements
    • design and size Splunk architectures
    • craft ingest capabilities
    • data modeling
    • solutions development
    • dashboard designing
  • Splunk Enterprise Security administration.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience
  • Experience performing systems engineering activities and assisting in the preparation of work products
  • Ability to develop analytics
  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security administration
  • Splunk Certified Architect or Splunk Accredited Consultant certification is required
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to build Splunk instances
  • Ability to design and size Splunk Architectures
  • Ability to craft ingest capabilities
  • Knowledge of data modeling, solutions developent, dashboard design

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
