Job Description

TSC's Innovation & Product Cell (IPC) is currently seeking a Senior RF/Electronic Engineer in Huntsville, AL with an educational and/or industry focus in the analysis and design of RF/microwave and analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems for real-time electronic warfare payloads for unmanned systems.

Responsibilities:

This position requires a flexible individual with experience in rapid, new product development. TSC's IPC team is chartered with developing new products by leveraging technology across TSC. This team is responsible for rapid development, demonstration, and initial product rollout. This position requires an individual familiar with all phases of product development and deployment to include changing requirements, hardware, software, and mechanical integration dependencies, field testing, and configuration management. The individual in this position needs to conceptualize, design, build, and test RF circuits across multiple product lines.

  • RF, analog, and mixed signal circuit analysis, design, and testing
  • Perform design studies and analysis of alternatives.
  • Collect and analyze RF performance data to validate expected versus measured data.
  • Support all phases of detailed system and subsystem development activities, including upfront analysis, prototyping, end item development and evaluation in laboratory and field test environments.
  • Test and debug designs using common lab equipment to include vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Work within a multi-discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team locally and across physical locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS and minimum 5 years of experience in industry
  • Experience with the following areas is required:
    • RF/Microwave circuit design & test
    • Analog/mixed signal design & test
    • Modeling, collection, and analysis with scripting language tools (i.e., MATLAB, Python, MathCAD, etc.)
  • Possess excellent organizational and communications skills.
  • Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cadence OrCAD or similar schematic design software
  • Experience with AnSoft/Ansys HFSS, AWR Microwave office, or similar simulation tools
  • Experience with radar, SIGINT, and/or electronic warfare product development
  • Experience transitioning designs into manufacturable products.
  • Experience designing to and mitigating EMI/EMC requirements (i.e., MIL-STD-461 & 464)
