Job Description:

The Automation Heavy Fabrication NAM Business Development Director will have responsibility, for specific targeted accounts, of driving the end user sales growth and product categories across ESAB portfolio of products. He/She will leverage industry/technology expertise to build upon current and new business growth and strengthen processes to achieve and exceed corporate objectives.

Reporting directly to the Director of Global Sales Automation, He/She works in coordination with the Regional Sales Directors, Automation and Flow, as well as with Product Management to deliver growth at end user level and meet business financial targets expectations.

The Director is a seasoned leader and proven manager with significant experience in growing complex business with expertise in strategic planning, marketing, business development, budgeting, and resource management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishes strategic, mutually beneficial relationships between ESAB and the targeted strategic customer accounts. Build trust and partnership between the two organizations by focusing on value and enabling alignment across the company leveraging all ESAB portfolio.
  • Achieve or exceed targeted sales growth through maintaining and developing long term customer relationships, a structured approach to account pursuit with effective use of growth plans.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Serves as technical liaison to lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, by providing input on market and customer-oriented technology trends, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
  • Increase ESAB market share.
  • Lead a continuous improvement environment.
  • Engages the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, engineering and other sales and management resources as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven industrial product knowledge and experience; industrial sales experience, with welding or related sales experience and good at problem-solving.
  • Skilled on building long term partnerships.
  • Business acumen to understand financial information as well as their company's operations and strategy.
  • Strong communication & planning skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline required.
  • Proven experience in exceeding sales quotas and expectations.
  • Ability to effectively identify, develop and execute account strategies.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven track record operation at multiple levels within an organization (from shop floor technical experts to CEO/CFO levels)
  • Proficiency in MS Office365 tools
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel

Pay Range:

$164,976.00-$206,220.00
