Job Description

About the role:

Morningstar, Inc. is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and organized Technical Event Producer to lead the technical planning, provide event support and manage and operate Audio/Visual systems at corporate offices. Event locations include corporate auditoriums, boardrooms, and conference centers. This role reports to the Global Head of IT Employee Experience and supports virtual, in-person, hybrid, and live stream events.

Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Vendors, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Communications, Talent & Culture, and Infrastructure to manage production needs for in-person, virtual, and live stream events
  • Work with internal stakeholders regarding event and presentation logistics, production management, and executional delivery
  • Lead technical and AV crews as well as act as show producer and show caller/director
  • Project manage and track tasks and deadlines ahead of in-person and remote events and town halls
  • Project management of: Virtual platforms, technical speaker support, scripts, production schedules, and show flows. Once on-site: assist with AV equipment and staging
  • Assist in the creation of unique and distinct corporate events and town halls
  • Work closely with the Lead Technical Producer to coordinate technical logistics and hire subcontractors when needed
  • Along with the Lead Technical Producer, act as the main stakeholder points of contact for all audio and video production related needs for events
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of event deliverables
  • Help create systems to be used in corporate and external spaces not outfitted with AV broadcast systems
  • Assist with presenter preparation and guidance for successful show execution, when needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience managing audio/video needs for events and meetings; a focus on corporate events preferred
  • 3+ years of experience successfully producing, developing, managing, and executing the technical production elements of in-person, remote, and live stream events
  • Industry knowledge of current production best practices, equipment, and rental costs
  • Domestic and international travel and work across time zones may be required
