We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team within Managed Investments at Northwestern Mutual. Here you will play a key role in building and supporting technology (both Custom Developed and Vended) for our Publics Investment Team. In this position, you will be working with a group of engineers within the NM's Publics Investment Technology team building high-quality applications, sourcing and integrating market data, and providing analytic capabilities to our Publics Investment Team that manages over $120B of investments.

To support our growing team, we are seeking a strong developer, who is passionate about developing solutions that meet business needs, is a quick learner, enjoys daily interaction with business and technology teams and is comfortable with both vended applications and custom development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Previous Fintech experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience required

  • 4+ years of hands-on development experience working with modern languages and frameworks like Java, Spring/Spring Boot, TypeScript/JavaScript, ReactJS, API Development and SQL

  • Experience with AWS, Snowflake and PowerBI, and Bloomberg is preferred

  • Experience with writing automated unit tests

  • Experience with Batch Scheduling, ELK, Control-M, Gitlab CI and Terraform is nice to have

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$100,030.00

Pay Range - End:

$185,770.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
