Summary

The candidate will possess the ability to work independently in a small multi-disciplinary team utilizing their experience to design, prototype, and test electrical systems. Comfortable using programming languages to interface with various types of hardware. Creation of test reports will be required to document project outcomes and hardware capabilities.

Candidate Duties and Responsibilities Include:

    Provide expertise in electrical engineering best practices and hardware integration efforts
  • Knowledgeable in various aspects of camera types, capabilities, and use cases
  • Develop software and electrical sub-systems for integration of hardware into prototype systems
Qualifications

2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree

Required Skills

  • Background in electrical and computer engineering with a focus on imaging systems
  • Experience building and integrating hardware systems for use in laboratory or field environments
  • Knowledgeable in standard laboratory devices such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and signal I/O devices
  • Familiar with C/C++/C#, or Python for software/hardware integration
  • Familiar with WPF, XAML, Qt for GUI development
  • Proficient in writing technical documentation in MS word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to be onsite five days a week

Desired Skills

  • Experience using cameras for real time image processing development
  • Experience with LWIR, SWIR, VIS/NIR, and microbolometer cameras
  • Experience using camera SDK's, API's, and other dev kits to create custom software
  • Experience with FPGA development
  • Security clearance a plus

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
