Description

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) in Bethesda, MDprovides consulting services across the federal government in the areas of 1) Technical Assistance, 2) Research and Evaluation, 3) Information and communications, and 4) Management and technology.
The company has an immediate opening for a Researcher to work on evaluations of federally funded programs. The Researcher will also support business development and other research projects.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Supporting the project leads to design research studies and evaluations to effectively answer research questions.
  • Lead the development of sample design and data collection approach, including applying the principles of user experience design in testing data collection instruments to ensure high response rates and high-quality data.
  • Lead the analyses of quantitative and/or qualitative data, and write analysis finding
  • Contribute to the writing of research reports and other dissemination materials.
  • Assist in collecting and synthesizing documents, artifacts, and data from secondary sources.
  • Contribute to business and proposal development and other organizational initiatives to foster company growth and success.
Qualifications:
  • Must have an M.P.P, M.P.A., or master's degree in public policy, sociology, and education.
  • Doctoral degree in sociology, public policy, and education (Preferred)
  • Experienced in designing qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed-methods research studies and evaluations (required)
  • Familiar with data collection instrument development and testing (required)
  • Expertise in analyzing qualitative and/or quantitative data (required)
  • Ability to lead report chapters, frame report sections with minimal guidance, ability to respond to feedback, and provide critical feedback to others (required)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on projects for federal clients and with public officials at all levels (required)
  • US Citizen (required)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with federal contracting (preferred)
