Historic East Baltimore Community Action Coalition, Inc. (HEBCAC) is seeking a full-time Residential Service Worker for evening and overnight awake shifts. This full-time position at The NEST has two shifts: from 4:00pm-12:00am and 12:00am-8:00am. RSW must have ability to cover various shifts, including weekends, holidays and on-call schedule. This position reports to the Assistant Program Director. The RSW is responsible for monitoring activities of the residents of the shelter to ensure compliance with the program rules and expectations. RSW will assist the residents with all their needs while establishing and maintaining a safe environment during their stay at the shelter. RSW will help the residents achieve success in transitioning to permanent housing. RSW will be required to maintain confidentiality and input data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
The NEST is a 10-bed Youth Emergency Shelter co-located with HEBCAC's Youth Opportunity Center. It currently operates 24/7, serving youth ages 18-24 with a safe environment from 30 to 90 days, while negotiating more permanent housing solutions. Residents also access supportive services at YO! including GED instruction, job training and placement, mental health counseling, and other services. The NEST accepts referrals from YO! Case Managers and Homeless Services Providers via Baltimore City's Coordinated Access System.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
