Primary Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Structural CADD/BIM Technician I position is to prepare drawings using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of Structural Engineers, Designers and Technicians. Requires preparation of structural railroad and highway bridge drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD. Duties may also include bridge information modeling, geometric calculations, reinforcement bar detailing, quantity calculations, and assisting with field inspections.

In the role of Structural CADD/BIM Technician 1, we'll count on you to:

  • Construct less-complicated drawings using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other Structural Technicians or Engineers
  • Create structural drawings on BIM from engineering sketches and instruction
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills required
