Rotating (United States of America)Sentara Brock Cancer Center, part of Sentara Leigh Hospital, is hiring a Pet/CT Technician for a PRN/Flexi Day shift position in Norfolk, VA.
This position is both for the Brock Cancer Center and our Mobile unit. Our Mobile Pet/CT unit works within 6 different sites around the Hampton Roads area. This is an 8-hour shift position between 7am and 8pm or 2 separate 4 hour shifts per week. Mileage reimbursement is offered. Travel to our Mobile Unit site is required. There is a heavy focus on Reasearch and Oncology- both routine and specialty. There is a strong, diverse team in place and its a "great place to work!" -the Pet/CT team at the Cancer Center.
Pet/CT Tech's:
Under general supervision, performs Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (CT) imaging procedures and related functions. Collaborates with leadership on technical issues, equipment performance, and quality assurance.
Requirements:
Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 250-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. SLH offers a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital providing patients access to a full continuum of orthopedic care, from the preoperative phase and surgery to rehabilitation and home care services. We are also home to the region's only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning, wounds that won't heal, infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen, airborne chemical exposures, and scuba diving accidents.
