As a Senior Structural Test Engineer, you will work within a government - contractor team planning and executing tests of full scale naval platforms and test articles.
This is a full time onsite position in West Bethesda MD
What you will do:
Responsible test planning, design preparation, coordination, and execution of testing events including full ship tests. Planning and coordination will include test schedules (milestones and deliverables), tasks broken out to WBS, cost estimation, and identification of resource such as equipment, labor, and specialized skillsets. Other planning tasks include Site Surveys and identification and selection of specialized sensors, acquisition, recording and other instrumentation necessary to perform structural testing. Test execution support includes instrumentation installation and test, real-time data acquisition support, and operational test support.
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering, and 10+ years of experience in the planning and execution of platform structural tests. Requires a background in structural test planning, coordination, execution support, instrumentation support, and documentation. Experience with naval platform shock and deep submergence testing a plus.
