Job Description/Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:

  • Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate aircraft and weapons components or armament systems.
  • Attends preliminary, critical and other design reviews to ensure NTWL requirements are properly defined and implemented.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, test plans, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance, testing, acquisition, and resource management.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, and evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military systems, associated support systems, or management informational systems.Provides inputs for test methods and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Test Engineering. At least four years' experience must be in the area of development, test and evaluation of aircraft weapon systems.
  • A minimum of three years of direct experience in one or a combination of the following areas is required: aircraft flying qualities and flight controls; aircraft development, test, and evaluation conduct; structures, aircraft weapon separation and compatibility, Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems, aircraft propulsion;
  • power systems; system/subsystem development, test & evaluation, or design.

ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:

  • A master's degree may be substituted for 2 years of work experience.
