Primary Responsibilities

HDR is looking for Senior Construction Inspectors to work as members of our Florida CCC team. This is a great opportunity to work on fast-paced, short duration projects within Florida. They will primarily work independently on FDOT projects consisting of milling and resurfacing, bridge construction, signalization, earthwork operations, stripping operations, and final estimate preparation. They will interact on a daily basis with FDOT Project Administrators and other FDOT personnel. This is a terrific opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in inspection with upward mobility and long term employment with a fast-growing program and employee-owned company.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Position will include some night, holiday, and weekend work, and qualified candidates must be willing to work as-needed on these occasions.
• This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school or Associate's degree
• Ability to interpret construction schedules
• Local candidates are preferred

• IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I

• Nuclear Radiation Safety, Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
• Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
