Athenix is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 0 to work in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Ability to multi-task and with experience in the following areas:

• Working with developers to craft high level design/architecture drawings to communicate with end user customers as well as experience in mapping requirements to test cases.
• Develop flow charts, functional diagrams and defining use cases.
• Working with customers to derive requirements and translating them to actionable tasks for development team.
• Agile development framework and tools like JIRA for management of tasks.
• Performing systems engineering verification and validation for a development team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cyber Security or other related field is required. (OR) In lieu of a Bachelors degree, five (5) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

• Assist developers with plans of actions as needed- including understanding the issue, hosting design collaborations.
• Support the implementation of agile development practices using scrum, including managing and hosting sprint planning and retrospective meetings.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
