INTRODUCTION

  • This Position is set aside for people with Differing Abilities
    • Proof of Disability is Required prior to Interviewing
  • Work is located in Annapolis, MD at the United States Naval Academy
  • The core working hours are 5:00 am -2:00 pm, Monday through Friday (Various weekends & Holiday)
  • Starting pay is $20.18 per hour
  • This position requires pre-employment criminal history background checks, government security clearances and drug testing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sweep and mop hallways, stairs and offices
  • Empty wastebaskets and dispose the trash in prescribed manner
  • Dust horizontal surfaces
  • Empty and wash ashtrays
  • Clean bathrooms
  • Wax and buff floors with prescribed buffers
  • Clean glass and windows
  • Wash walls and other vertical surfaces
  • Sweep and clear snow from outside steps and sidewalks
  • Polish kick panels, doorknobs and other designated fixtures
  • Strip and wax floors
  • Vacuum rugs
  • Mix cleaning solutions
  • Maintain issued equipment
  • Notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasks
  • All other duties assigned by Custodial Foreman

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six months experience, but 1 year of floor care experience
  • Be capable of performing the responsibilities of the position
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
