Summary

Mass Eye and Ear's Laryngology Clinic is hiring! The position is Full Time, benefits eligible at our Main Campus. We offer 50% off the MBTA pass for access to our campus.

Under the supervision of departmental administrative team, physician, and nursing staff, the Medical Assistant is responsible for coordinating the flow of patients throughout the outpatient exam process in accordance with the needs of the clinical practice. The Medical Assistant is vital to the department and patient experience.

Role Functions

  1. Welcomes Patients and performs intake functions, recording of medical history
  2. Sterilizes rooms, equipment, scopes and ensures room is properly set up before each patient
  3. Follow High level disinfection process
  4. Works closely with RN and other Medical Assistants and physician
  5. Receives and welcomes all patients into the practice in a manner that is consistent with MGB service expectations and the Language of Caring program as outlined in support of patient satisfaction.
  6. Completes patient intake to include accurate blood pressure, temperature, weight, symptoms, reason for visit, pain, etc., per office standard operating procedure (SOP).
  7. Records visit intake information clearly and accurately per office SOP. Order, result, and charge drop for appropriate services. Using Epic.
  8. Proficient in EHR. Consistently and accurately documents information in correct fields of EHR. Runs tracking reports (Orders Management). Manages orders and submits charge order entry, as applicable.

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Exceptional patient care and customer service abilities
  • Experience with high level disinfection preferred
  • High school graduate
  • Successful completion of certified training program preferred before or after hire
