Primary Responsibilities
HDR is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Charleston, WV, office. The primary duties of the Geotechnical Engineer include performing investigations and evaluations to develop design recommendations, and assist in the preparation of design plans and specifications using traditional and alternative delivery methods. More-specific duties include developing subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs, shallow and deep foundation analyses, slope stability analysis, subgrade evaluations, soil and rock cut slope designs, and preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and other reporting documents. Abilities at this level with task/project management functions and preparation of technical and price proposals are a plus. The candidate should be capable of working independently and accurately, with minimal supervision. Will give direction to clerical and junior technical personnel. *LI-KY1
