Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Construction Engineer 2, we'll count on you to:

  • Assist the Resident Engineer in construction office engineering related work including but not limited to the following:
  • Setting up and maintaining project files
  • Writing construction change orders
  • Processing required documents and progress payments
  • Prevailing Wage Laws & Regulations
  • Monitoring and enforcing labor compliance
  • Subcontracting laws and policies

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field and/or valid EIT designation issued by the State of CA with the below practical work experience.
  • 3+ years related experience on medium to large Caltrans transportation projects (roadways/highways/bridges) and/or major public works projects desired.
  • Microsoft Office, Prolog (basic), Timberline and Primavera
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
